Winter herbal sacks Recipe

Whether on the heater, in the closet, between the towels or under the pillow: the pleasantly scented fabric bags promote our sense of well-being. Whether you use colorful linen fabric or a leftover curtain fabric is up to your personal taste. However, the tissue should not be too thick and tight for the essential oils to penetrate.

Recipe for winter herb bags

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces of fabric, each 12 x 8 cm
  • cardboard
  • Sewing chalk (e.g. in a craft store)
  • Sewing machine or sewing thread and needle
  • Decorative tape (e.g. in a craft store)
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 TL Sternanissamen
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Preparation:

Using a ruler, mark out a 12 x 8 centimeter piece of cardboard. Lay this on the fabric, outline it with sewing chalk and cut out the shape you have drawn. Repeat the last step again so that you have two rectangles of the same size. Place the two on top of each other and sew them together with the sewing machine or by hand – but one of the shorter sides remains open. Now turn the bag inside out to cover the seams. Now grind the cinnamon sticks with a rolling pin, for example, and fill the bag with the cloves and star anise seeds. Finally, use the ribbon to tie a nice bow around the open end and close everything tightly.
