Vegan cinnamon roll Recipe
Are you in the mood for a delicious dessert, but don’t want to eat too unhealthily? Here’s the perfect solution to her problem, blogger Kate’s vegan cinnamon roll from wild + fit.ingredients
- 240 g: flour
- 200 ml: almond milk
- 5 tbsp: applesauce
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 1/2 tsp: salt
- 1 tsp: apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp: walnut oil
- 5 tbsp: brown sugar
- 2 tbsp: cinnamon
- I see them again and again: cinnamon rolls. At Ikea, at the bakery and in the kiosk. I love cinnamon and I love pastries. A perfect combination.
- If only they weren’t so incredibly unhealthy. Full of sugar and fat. So I recently started looking for a healthier recipe and found it. Here and there a little modified and vegan cinnamon rolls à la wild & fit are ready.
- Heat the oven to 200 degrees and grease an ovenproof casserole dish with a little oil.
- In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the applesauce and walnut oil and stir vigorously until combined. Add the almond milk, apple cider vinegar and 3 tablespoons sugar and stir. If the dough is still too dry, simply add a tablespoon of almond milk little by little until it forms a mass.
- Mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Spread the dough out on a clean surface, use a roller to roll out into a rectangle about 2 cm thick and spread the sugar and cinnamon mixture on top. Carefully roll up the dough from the long side. Cut 5 cm thick rolls with a knife and place the rolls in the greased tin.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until brown.
