Proper breaststroke
The breaststroke is considered the basic swimming program. You usually learn this swimming style at school for free swimmers. If you don’t want to swim high in the water, you can do well with this type of swimming. But there are also a few rules to follow when swimming breaststroke: The flatter you lie in the water, the lower the resistance in the cool water and you will be faster accordingly. Furthermore, you should not tilt your head too far back, otherwise you could get tension or even neck pain .

Proper backstroke
Backstroke is a nice change from breaststroke or front crawl. This swimming style is particularly suitable for people with back problems, as the back muscles are gently strengthened. This relieves the infamous hollow back.

Real crawl
Anyone who has mastered the crawl style will just dash through the water. It’s the swimming style of choice for most triathletes and other competitive swimmers for a reason. The drive here comes mainly from the arms, the legs are primarily used to stabilize the body in the water. With the right technique, even beginners can make rapid progress.
