1. No stress!
Doctors have been able to prove that stress hormones such as cortisol can have a harmful effect on our cells. The solution of the problem? relaxation exercises! Thanks to yoga or autogenic training (many adult education centers offer courses) we can switch off and breathe deeply.
2. Get enough sleep
If we sleep too little, it promotes the aging process of the body. Because our cell renewal takes place mainly at night. But we should really give our bodies enough rest. In the best case, so much that we feel fit and balanced the next day. Six to eight hours is enough for most people.
3. Eat healthy
In addition to trace elements, cells need other antioxidants, i.e. substances that ward off free radicals. These include, above all, vitamin A, the z. B. in liver , sweet potatoes and carrots, as well as vitamin C, z. B. from peppers, broccoli, sea buckthorn. Vitamin E, for example in wheat germ oil, almonds and salmon, also makes an important contribution.
4. Keep moving
It is worth overcoming your weaker self and integrating (more) exercise into everyday life. Physical activity slows down cell decay, among other things. Even small measures make a big difference. let z. B. leave the car in the garage more often and walk short distances.
5. Drink, drink, drink
Our body cells consist of about 85 percent water. Even with small losses, cell respiration decreases, the little helpers can no longer counteract pollutants and pathogens. So drink at least 1.5 liters of water every day. And avoid highly salted foods. They remove fluid from the cells.
