Our skin loves aloe

This ability ensures the plant, which belongs to the succulent family, survives in its natural environment and has a reputation for being a brilliant moisturizer and binder. Treasures are slumbering in the gel, which consists of 90 percent water: around 200 (75 active) ingredients – including vitamins, enzymes, minerals and amino acids. And a unique molecule called alverose, which is responsible for the synergistic action of the components. Effective all-rounder
Pure quality aloe vera also accelerates overall cell functions by moisturizing the outer layer of the skin. Contained polysaccharides and enzymes support the cells to grow more compact and dense. The body’s own production of collagen, which decreases with age, is stimulated again. The skin appears more elastic and firmer, wrinkles appear reduced. Aloe vera also stabilizes the balance of fats and water in the protective mantle (hydro-lipid film) of our skin, thereby increasing its elasticity, calming it down in stressful situations and supporting the natural defenses.

More than 25 years ago, Sabine Beer, 59, graduate in business administration and founder of the cosmetics company Santaverde, began cultivating aloe vera on her finca in Estepona, Andalusia. 3000 Barbadensis Miller plants were planted in the sandy soil. Since then, only the pure, field-fresh plant sap, from organic farming (today 20,000 plants are growing there), harvested by hand, is used in the products.
