Stay physically active during Quarantine

Due to the Corona crisis, we are currently spending a lot of time within our own four walls. This is the only way we can slow down the spread of the coronavirus and make our contribution to keeping the number of corona infections as low as possible. So that we don’t become sluggish despite quarantine and working from home, here are a few tips on how we can keep moving at home.

Home Workouts

Since the gyms are currently closed, we are simply moving our training to the living room. We can find a lot of great workouts online that really give us a workout. Simply roll out the sports mat and off you go…

New routines

Let’s look at it positively – the time that we otherwise spend commuting can now be used for a sporting unit. So how about a new morning routine?

Lunch break outdoors

As long as we still have the opportunity, we should use the lunch break for a little walk in the fresh air. Whether on foot or by bike – fresh air is good for our body and soul. Important: Always behave responsibly and keep your distance!

Once an hour: get up!

Set an alarm every 60 minutes – as soon as it rings we get up, open the windows and take a short stroll through the apartment.

To dance

Dancing is like a massage for the soul. While we move to the music, happiness hormones are released and, incidentally, we also strengthen our self-confidence. So why not just turn up the music and start dancing after every ticked item on the to-do list?

household chores

Perfect for short breaks and a bit of exercise during working hours in the home office: household chores! A quick vacuum or a washing machine can work wonders and lure us away from the laptop for a few minutes.

sit properly

Even when we are sitting, we can do a lot for our mobility and thus our well-being . If we swap our desk chair for a gymnastics ball, for example, movement is inevitable. Small exercises at the desk also help us: stretching exercises, shoulder circles and slight back rotations are particularly good for us in the home office.

gardening

Those who have a garden can consider themselves lucky during this time. Gardening is a great hobby to get some exercise in the fresh air. Sunshine and fresh flowers also lift our spirits.
