Certified respirators are currently scarce and mainly reserved for clinics and medical practices. In addition, the federal states are now introducing a mask requirement.
We release droplets when we sneeze, cough and speak. The largest droplets can be caught with a scarf, cloth or respirator. But this is only possible if the piece of fabric is close to the mouth and nose. This further minimizes the risk of infection.

What should I pay attention to when sewing?
- The fabric should be breathable, such as molleton, cotton poplin, or batiste.
- The fabric should be boilable to wash germs out of the material after wearing and render them harmless.
- The rubber bands should also be cookable.
Use the cloth mask correctly
- The cloth mask should fit snugly and be worn as soon as you leave the house.
- If the fabric is damp, the mask should be changed.
- When removing or changing, be careful not to touch the outside.
- Then soak the mask in soapy water or detergent and wash your hands.
- Wash the mask at at least 60° with detergent. The surfactants damage the viruses and make them harmless.
- The masks can also be disinfected in the oven at 70°.
