Falafel balls not only taste good, they are also a wonderful meat substitute. Since the falafel consists mostly of chickpeas, the balls are a healthy source of nutrients. They also provide you with plenty of protein and fiber. Combined with the other ingredients, it makes a delicious and healthy meal.

for 2 servings
  • 1 small romaine lettuce
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 large tomato
  • 6 falafel balls (organic, from the refrigerated section, e.g. from Alnatura)
  • 1/2 flatbread (approx. 250g)
  • 1 Portion Joghurt-Aioli
  • Chiliflocken

preparation

  1. Clean lettuce, wash, spin dry and cut into strips.
  2. Peel the onion and cut into thin rings.
  3. Clean, wash and dice the tomato.
  4. Halve the falafel balls and heat in a coated pan without fat while turning.
  5. Quarter flatbread. Cut pockets into each quarter and spread with  aioli . Fill with lettuce, diced tomatoes, falafel balls and onion rings. Sprinkle with chili flakes if you like.
