ingredients

for 4 servings
  • 2 dried figs
  • 50 g soft butter
  • 1 tsp medium hot mustard
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of nut bread
  • 120 g mature camembert (or brie)
  • 4 teaspoons cranberries (from the jar)

preparation

  1. Finely dice the figs. Mix the butter with the mustard and fold in the diced figs. Wash the lettuce leaves and pat dry. Spread the nut bread slices with the fig and mustard butter and top with lettuce.
  2. Cut the camembert into slices and spread on the bread slices. Garnish each slice of bread with 1 tsp cranberries.

Recipe Tips

If you are in a hurry, you can also spread a thin layer of butter on the bread and spread 1 teaspoon of ready-made fig mustard on it. Instead of cranberries, quince jelly also tastes good. If you like it more aromatic, swap out the cow’s milk camembert for a goat’s camembert or goat’s brie.
