What is migraine?
Migraines often occur between the ages of 35 and 45. At this age, three times more women than men are affected. A look at the figures reveals that one in five women will suffer from headaches in their lifetime. Most patients experience migraines for the first time in childhood or adulthood. The disease appears suddenly and usually very unexpectedly. When you move, the pain gets worse. The most common type is headache without aura, which occurs in about 80 percent of all cases. You can tell that this is not a simple headache because the severe pain is accompanied by nausea, sensitivity to light and noise, and loss of appetite. Some patients also suffer from visual disturbances, the so-called aura.
