Prepare rose hips properly
Rose hips can be bought in different forms. The most convenient application is via powder, e.g. B. from Alpi Nature , or capsules, z. B. from Biotiva , which is available in pharmacies. However, you can also make a delicious tea from rose hips, e.g. B. from NaturaForte , or use the fruit fresh. The fruits are also non-toxic when raw.
In autumn and winter you can buy fresh rose hips in supermarkets or at weekly markets. Alternatively, you can look out for public rose hips in your area and pick the fruit directly. You can recognize ripe fruits by the fact that they yield slightly under pressure. Important: The later the fruits are picked, the sweeter they are. Even after a frosty winter, the fruits are still edible the next year.
After picking or shopping, you should wash the fruit, remove the stalks and buds, and scrape the small seeds from the fruit . Use gloves as the fine hairs can cause skin reactions. Now either let the rose hips dry for a few days or pour boiling water directly on them and let them steep for 20 minutes.
