What exactly is impure skin?
The skin is usually irritated or even reddened, pimples and blackheads form. Some also struggle with an unpleasant shine of the facial skin. In addition to oily skin, the cause here can also be very sensitive skin that tries to protect itself by producing excess sebum. It is this sebum that, along with dead skin cells, clogs the pores and can lead to the formation of blemishes. The right care, ideally pH-neutral products, can help here. Occasional exfoliation also helps to remove dead skin and excess sebum. However, you should only exfoliate once a week. It can irritate the skin and temporarily stimulate it to produce more sebum. Used too often, it promotes blemishes more than it fights them.
Home remedies for blemished skin
This is where a rather unexpected remedy comes into play: tea. To be more precise: nettle tea. The skin is our largest excretory organ and nettle tea primarily stimulates the elimination of excess water. Together with the water, toxins, dead skin cells and excess sebum are also removed. Anyone who drinks the tea for two weeks as a cure will notice that the complexion improves considerably. It is important that you drink plenty of water in addition to the tea. The tea floats and in order to maintain the normal water balance in your body, you should drink at least one liter of water for every cup of nettle tea. Two cups of the tea a day are recommended; morning and noon. A pleasant side effect is that if you have dry skin, this will improve significantly during this cleansing cure. The increased fluid intake also regulates the moisture content of the skin.
If you have impure skin not only on your face, but also on your back and legs, the following home remedy can help: Get medicinal charcoal and grind it finely, preferably in a mortar. Mix some yoghurt with the charcoal to make a firm paste. For use on the face, add some buttermilk, which soothes and makes the application much more pleasant. Now you apply the paste on your back with the help of a friend and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Then everything is rinsed off with lukewarm water. Please do not use creams or lotions immediately after application. To prevent impure skin on your legs, back or arms, you can also easily make a peeling. Take normal table salt and mix it with olive oil or sunflower oil.
