Healthy Pumpkin Seeds Buns Recipe

If you don’t want to do without carbohydrates at breakfast, but still want to eat healthy, our pumpkin seed rolls are just the thing for you. They consist of good and wholesome fiber that will keep you full for a long time.

ingredients

  • 350 g spelled flour
  • 350 g whole wheat flour
  • 140 g pumpkin seeds
  • 2 packets of sourdough extract (each 15 g, from the health food store)
  • 1 packet (7 g) of dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sea salt

preparation

  1. Mix both flours and 100 g pumpkin seeds. Stir in the sourdough extract and dry yeast. Add 450 ml lukewarm water. Knead with the dough hook of the hand mixer until the dough separates from the edges. Knead the dough on a floured work surface. Leave to rise for 50 minutes, add salt.
  2. Form 16 buns one after the other. Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Leave to rest for another 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (180 degrees for a fan oven). Brush the rolls with water and sprinkle with the remaining seeds. Bake in the oven (middle) for approx. 20 minutes.
