There’s one thing our hair doesn’t like at all – and that’s high temperatures. These dry out your hair, making it easier to break. But especially when styling with a hair dryer, curling iron or straightening iron, our hair is confronted with high temperatures. The heat draws heat away from your hair, making it more likely to break. To protect your hair effectively, you should use special heat protection sprays or creams before styling, which wrap around the hair and prevent it from drying out.

4. They wear tight hairstyles

Buns and ponytails are extremely handy as they keep unwanted hair out of your face. But if you tie your hair back too tightly, you can also have hair loss due to the tensile stress. You will first notice the loss through frizz – shorter hairs are sticking out from your head. To avoid hair loss and breakage, you should style your hair loosely. Vary the height of your hairstyles and wear your braid higher or lower.

5. You dye your hair

For many people, coloring our hair is part of a visit to the hairdresser. However, coloring can damage your hair. The chemical substances it contains, such as ammonia or oxidizing agents, can attack your hair structure and also be a cause of hair loss. Above all, frequent and aggressive dyeing can damage your mane. In addition, the chemicals impair the nutrient supply and your hair no longer receives sufficient minerals, vitamins and trace elements. If you do not want to do without color on your head, it is best to leave the coloring to a professional. Other options are gentle natural colors or tints.
