Exercises for the eyes

In the office, on the couch, on a walk: these five short workouts can be done anywhere and will help your eyes improve their vision and focus
better.

HAND ON

Relaxed: Rub your palms together vigorously several times a day and then cup them over your closed eyes (“palm”). Breathe in and out deeply ten times, release your hands again.

Exercises for the eyes: Tip 2

SMALL EYE MASSAGE

Stimulates blood circulation: Place the fingertips of both hands on the bony edges of the eye sockets next to the nose. Massage gently in circular motions for one minute.

THE LYING EIGHT

Ideal for relaxing the eye muscles: draw a figure eight in the air with your outstretched hand and follow the movement with your eyes. The head doesn’t turn!

EYE JUMPS

Improves the mobility of the eyes: Let your eyes wander as far as possible. Then fixate on various points at ever shorter distances – each time until you notice that your eyes have come to rest.

BINOCULARS

Pause when staring: Make your hands mimic binoculars and hold them to your eyes. Look at an object alternately with and without a “telescope”.
