Maxi tested the deodorant spray “Goji Power”
So far I was a bit skeptical about the “Ökodeos”. Sure, natural ingredientsare by far better tolerated by the body, but does the deodorant still fulfill its purpose, namely to reliably protect me from odor-causing bacteria? The deodorant spray “Goji Power” from Sante convinced me; if only the packaging: a chic metal spray can with an attractive imprint. After the first round of trials, it was clear to me that you should try it out! The scent is beautifully fruity and fresh – not at all what I had imagined. The application is also uncomplicated: Spray on, let it dry briefly and off you go! On days when I don’t have to fear any physical exertion, I will be happy to use Sante’s vegan deodorant spray again in the future. When it comes to sports, I prefer to play it safe and trust my previous deodorant – with aluminum.

Katharina tested the “DeoSensitive”
So far I have always used “conventional” deodorants, mostly with aluminum, from the drugstore. I have usually associated deodorants from natural cosmetics manufacturers, which are often vegan and without the addition of aluminum, with an unpleasant, overpowering odor and little protection against sweating. The “DeoSensitive” from Dado Sens, however, initially surprised me positively with its pleasantly fresh but unobtrusive smell. Spraying it on takes a bit of getting used to because, unlike other deodorants, it first has to take effect and therefore feels a little sticky immediately after application. After that, however, I had the feeling that I was well protected from sweating. However, I found the “DeoSensitive” not as long-lasting as a “normal”

Oliver tested the deodorant “Organic Lime and Organic Verbena”
My test object was Lavera’s “Organic Lime and Organic Verbena” deodorant. Why did I want to test it? Because of its delicious lime scent! Many “eco deodorants” smell neutral or rather unpleasant for my taste (keyword: sage), but the scent of lime reminds me of sun and vacation. I also wanted to test it because – like all “Ökodeos” – it does not contain any aluminum salts. I like that, because I don’t think it’s good that there is a substance in my deodorant that cannot be ruled out that it is carcinogenic However, I can’t recommend Lavera’s “Organic Lime and Organic Verbena” because it doesn’t serve its purpose. I have the feeling that it doesn’t really penetrate the skin under the armpitsmoves in. Above all, and this is also logical without aluminum salts, it does not close the pores. Ergo: After a few hours, the smell of sweat comes through. Conclusion: Lavera’s “Organic Lime and Organic Verbena” may be suitable as a body spray because the scent is pleasant. In my opinion, it is unsuitable as a deodorant spray.

Leonie tested the “sage deodorant”
Aluminum tells me something, of course: aluminum foil, aluminum rims and the like. But what metal is doing in deodorants has always been a mystery to me. So it’s hardly surprising that “free from aluminum” doesn’t mean anything to me at first. That’s why I decided on the “Sage Deodorant” from Weleda, which only advertises “holistic natural cosmetics” – and “nature” always sounds kind of good. The smell test, however, makes me flinch violently – not even my fresh sage tree at home smells that “sagey”. The scent is harsh and takes some getting used to and probably falls into the “matter of taste” category, but in my opinion such a penetrating scent has a good chance of covering up a musty smell of sweat. The endurance test in the office proves: Even after a hard day’s work, your armpits still smell like sage, but more like a mix of 90% sweat and 10% sage. It holds up and doesn’t give up completely, but smelling pleasant is probably something else. I would not dare to do sports with this spray. Well, everyone’s body reacts differently – maybe the deodorant will do exactly what it’s supposed to for someone else.
