That’s why we get diarrhea when it’s hot
How mean! As temperatures rise, so does the risk of contracting gastrointestinal flu . And by a whole 4.7 percent! The reason for this is the physical stress that our body is exposed to when it is extremely hot. The longer it is hot, the more our entire immune system is burdened.
In addition, when it is hot, our skin is supplied with more blood, which means that less blood flows through our organs. As a result, complaints such as diarrhea can develop more quickly in our intestines.
Watch out, trap!
Ice- cold drinks can refresh us on hot days, but they also put a lot of strain on digestion and can also lead to diarrhea. The same applies to the wrong behavior after bathing – if you lie in the sun with your wet bathing suit after cooling off in the pool or lake, you also risk that your intestines will be put under too much strain. After all, germs and bacteria have an easy time in this wet and cold area. So it’s better to take off the wet clothes immediately – and put them in the wetbag !

Diarrhea when it’s hot – you can do that now
In fact, diarrhea in summer increases the risk of becoming seriously ill from the heat. After all, we not only lose a lot of fluids due to the hot weather, but also due to diarrhea. Drinking a lot is therefore extremely important. Feel free to grab mineral water, tea and non-alcoholic wheat beer . These do not strain your digestive tract and are therefore recommended in hot weather. Wheat beer is also isotonic and compensates for the loss of minerals through sweating. Treat yourself to rest and avoid strenuous physical activities. Also rely on bland food and eat easily digestible foods such as bananas, white bread, potatoes and pasta. Apples are also a good remedy for heat-related diarrhea. They contain a lot of fiber, which swells up in the intestine and binds water. A finely grated apple promises quick relief.
Coffee, spicy foods, sweets and alcohol are taboo.
