Fabrics not only protect us from the cold, they also influence our sensations. Whether cashmere, silk or fleece: who likes what best is subjective. Make yourself comfortable, grab a soft blanket or throw on something in your feel-good fabric. Stroke it consciously over your skin, feel the softness and soothing warmth.
Ten minutes – feel secure
Touches envelop us in a pleasant feeling of calm and security. But we caress ourselves far too seldom. Try a short self-massage: it reduces the release of stress hormones and strengthens the production of calming neurotransmitters. It also relieves tension. Here’s how it works: Warm a few drops of sesame oil between your hands and start massaging your scalp , forehead and ears with circular movements. Focus on just one area of your body for 10 minutes. Arms or legs only come on the next day.
