- 300 g sweet cherries

1 Wash, stem and stone the cherries. Cut open the vanilla pod and remove the pulp. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (160 degrees for a fan oven). Put butter in a bowl. Add the sugar , vanilla pulp and lemon peel and stir everything with the hand mixer (beater) until fluffy.
Beat in 2 eggs one at a time. Mix flour, baking powder and salt. chop nuts Mix the flour, nuts and grated coconut evenly into the egg mixture. Fold in the cherries.
Grease 3 baking sheets halfway. Form two rails from aluminum foil as borders or place a baking edge (rectangular) on the tray. Spread the batter in half of the tray. Bake about 30 minutes. Let cool and cut into squares.
