The face powder has a greasy shine and hardly gives off any color:
Skin fat has definitely settled on the powder stone. Simply scrape off the top layer with a knife and the surface is like new.
No eyelash curler handy?
Slightly warm a teaspoon under hot water, dry off and gently curl the lashes upwards with the outside. If the problem is not the missing curler, but the eyelashes remain flat: With hot air from the hair dryer you can also encourage your metal eyelash curler to perform at its best. But please check the temperature on your skin first.
The mascara has dried up?
Place the cartridge in a glass of warm water for a few minutes. Then it is ready for the next assignments.
Freshly painted and immediately a dent?
Wait until the varnish dries slightly, then gently press your fingernail against your tongue. This immediately smoothes the paint layer.
No eye makeup remover at home?
A drop of salad oil on a cotton pad even removes waterproof make-up. The advantage: the unscented vegetable oil protects the sensitive eye area. The disadvantage: the oil can seep into the eyes, so this trick is not suitable for contact lens wearers.
Too much perfume sprayed on:
Drizzle alcohol-based facial tonic onto a cotton ball and rub it over the perfumed skin to minimize the excess fragrance.
Loose powder flies around:
If a lot goes wrong when picking up with the brush, the following trick will help: Fill powder into a salt shaker, then it can be sprinkled cleanly on a brush or pad and dosed – even when you’re on the go.
The hair color looks violent: wash your
hair with a peeling or dandruff shampoo, which removes excess pigment.
Thickened nail polish:
thick, it cannot be applied perfectly and does not harden. Add a few drops of colorless nail polish, shake briefly – then it works.
No nail file at hand?
Then the rubbing surface of a matchbox smoothes rough spots in no time at all.
The liquid foundation covers way too much:
it looks like a mask. Better: Simply apply with a damp sponge, the complexion then appears more transparent and natural.
The make-up pencil scratches:
Sometimes lip contour or eyeliner pencils have a hard tip. Simply hold this over a flame for a few seconds and it instantly softens and the color applies easily.
Styling products have made the hair sticky:
the stubborn white residue from styling products and hairspray can often not be removed with shampoo alone. But a pinch of baking soda can do that: mix it with the shampoo, then rinse well and apply a care pack.
Pens without a tip:
If the lip liner or kajal pencil urgently needs to be sharpened, but there is no sharpener to be found anywhere: drizzle some alcohol-based facial tonic onto a cosmetic tissue and twist the tip of the pencil back and forth in it.
The body peeling is used up:
stupid, but would a scrub treatment be good for your skin right now at the weekend? Sugar or coarse-grained salt mixed with a little oil or shower gel makes an effective exfoliation. Distribute in hands and apply.
The curling iron goes on strike:
Then a fork provides an emergency replacement: twist the ends of the hair like spaghetti and blow-dry. But be careful, the metal gets very hot very quickly!
Foundation too dark:
If the neck seems lighter than the face (this also happens after a ski holiday), a touch of powder rouge in the middle of the neck compensates for the difference visually.
No concealer in sight:
If you have a pimple alarm, use a dab of liquid make-up that has settled on the top of the bottle lid instead. Thanks to the slightly thicker texture, it reliably covers small blemishes when you apply it with a thin brush. Extra plus: the shade of the replacement concealer matches your make-up.
